Giving disadvantaged children an opportunity
We’ve been supporting Solidarity Sports for over a decade. This wonderful charity uses sport to help children overcome trauma and, in the words of founder Sean Mendez, create “a world where every child who lives on the margins of society has the confidence to choose any path in life and follow it with strength and skill.”
Solidarity Sports has been around since 2007 and its programmes have gone from strength to strength. They now include healthy eating, art and residential field trips.
We’ve organised a range of activities for and in cooperation with the charity, often attended by a group of our colleagues. We’ve taken the children ice skating and on trips to Kew Gardens, as well as the science museum. Every year, our staff give up hundreds of hours to volunteer as helpers on excursions, as well as to lead half-term and holiday activities.
£200 donation with every referral
As a token of our appreciation, Smart Currency Business will make a £200 charitable donation to Solidarity Sports for every contact you refer that goes on to trade with us, reflecting our commitment to service and our desire to make a positive impact on our community.

Annual cycle adventures
Each year, our team takes part in a charitable bike ride to raise money for Solidarity Sports.
Smart Currency donates £50 for every rider, who themselves often donate the equivalent amount (or more!) to aid this wonderful cause.
